What is Messy Nessie?

A water-activated washcloth with the soap already included.

Messy Nessie is a dry, pre-soaped compressed washcloth made for the moments when a normal shower or sink is inconvenient. Each washcloth stays compact and individually wrapped until you are ready to use it. Add water to the compressed pack, let it expand, unfold it, and work up a lather. You get a full-size washcloth with soap already built in, without carrying a separate bottle.

That small format makes it easy to store in camping gear, a carry-on, gym bag, glove box, sports kit, festival bag, or emergency hygiene kit. It is useful for cleaning up after outdoor activities, practice, long drives, travel days, and other situations where you have access to water but not a convenient place to wash.

How is it different from an ordinary wet wipe?

A wet wipe is stored damp and is designed mainly for wiping. Messy Nessie stays dry until water activates it, then opens into a 9.5-by-12-inch soapy washcloth that can lather and rinse. It offers a familiar washcloth-and-soap experience in a portable format.

Use clean water whenever possible, wash as you normally would, and dispose of the used washcloth responsibly. Messy Nessie is a compact cleanup option—not a replacement for safe drinking water or medical sanitation.

What is a pre-soaped compressed washcloth?

It is a dry washcloth compressed into a small pack with soap already included. Water expands the cloth and activates the soap so it can lather and rinse.

How does Messy Nessie work?

Open the individual wrapper, add water to the compressed washcloth, let it expand, then unfold and lather it. Rinse with clean water after washing.

Is the soap already inside the washcloth?

How much water does it take?
